At BGLC we will run two languages (French/German/Spanish) in year 7 on a rotation basis. Students will be allocated one language – either French, German or Spanish and study this for 5 hours per fortnight (Year 9 have 6 hours a fortnight).
There is a top set in each language and the remaining classes are mixed ability.
Languages in year 7 is not allocated by choice due to timetabling and staffing constraints. However, if you or your child has a background in one of our languages and you wish for them to study that language please put this in writing to [email protected] when you know your child has been given a place at BGLC. We will try to accommodate these requests where possible.
